Wedding ceremonies in Wiltshire and the South of England

Welcome to Wiltshire …

When I am not in France, I live in Wiltshire in England, between Stonehenge, Bath and Salisbury. This means I am very well placed for ceremonies anywhere in the South of England. I create ceremonies that reflect you two - your style, your wishes and your beliefs.

When I am in Wiltshire, I love being in my jeans and wellies, digging the garden or walking my dog on long hikes between the White Horses of Wiltshire, but equally I love dressing up smartly and going to grand hotels, the theatre, a concert, or visiting National Trust properties.

And my celebrant style reflects this - I love large weddings in sumptuous surroundings, but I also love intimate ceremonies in a family garden. What is consistent is that I want the ceremony to be heartfelt and elegant, with beautiful vows, poetry that resonates, and a ceremony that leaves everyone present feeling uplifted and a better person.

I love to create unique ceremonies for each couple, adapting symbolic ceremonies such as hand-fasting, sand ceremonies, quaich or cake and ale ceremonies, and to adapt them for each couple.

Are you an Anglo-French couple, and if so, would you like some of your ceremony in England to be in French to make it more inclusive for the French side of the family? I can create a ceremony in both French and English, and bringing in French themes and nuances to suit you both. I don’t recommend a full translation as that can become dull for everyone, but I have many creative ideas on how to make the ceremony interesting and meaningful for you and all your guests.

I love the contrast between my French and English ceremonies - being mindful of the English weather, the ceremonies here are often inside, in barns or country hotels. And I particularly like doing winter weddings where you can be indoors, with open log fires, candlelight, lots of rich velvet colours - it’s a great contrast to the summers in Southern France, and I relish them just as much.

‘Thank you again so much for being our celebrant - a lot of our wedding guests said that it was the best and most personal ceremony they'd been to.’

★★★★★

‘It meant a huge amount to both of us, and you did such a good job – lots of people have mentioned that to us too.We were so pleased that you were our celebrant on our wedding day. You really helped us to think about what we wanted from our ceremony and gave us lots of ideas that we wouldn't otherwise have considered. Now we've had our first anniversary, I'm happy to report that one of the elements you thought of has even been incorporated into an annual tradition! On the day, you were so warm, kind and thoughtful, and made everyone feel so welcome. It really set the tone for the rest of the day. Thank you!’

‘She gave us so much help in finding a suitable venue, taking time to get to know us and what we liked and the essence of who we are. She had great suggestions and ideas so we didn't end up doing everything as well.Lucy enabled our guests to feel at ease and was leading the ceremony. We think she is a wonderful, adaptable celebrant and would recommend her to everyone.’
